M7: Conversational Social Media Platforms

Conversational social media platforms are apps or websites where people mostly communicate through text and quick conversations. Instead of focusing mainly on pictures or videos like Instagram or TikTok, these platforms are most about sharing thoughts, asking questions, and replying to other people. Some popular examples are Reddit, LinkenIn, Threads etc. These platforms allow people to interact quickly and join conversations about topics they're interested in.

One conversational platform I think is really interesting is Reddit. Reddit has tons of communities called "subreddits," and each one focuses on a specific topic. People can ask questions, share advice, or just talk about things they are interested in. I like that it feels more like a discussion with real people instead of just scrolling through posts. You can usually find honest opinions or helpful advice from people who have gone through similar experiences.

LinkedIn is another conversational platform, but it's more focused on professional networking and business. Since I am a marketing major, I think LinkedIn is really useful because it helps people connect with professionals in their field. People post about industry. news, career advice, and job opportunities. It's also a great place to build your professional presence and learn from people who are already working in the industry you want to be in.

One thing I like about conversational social media is how fast people can communicate. Businesses can respond to customers quickly, answer questions, or solve problems. This can make customers feel like the company actually cares about them. At the same time, there can also be negatives because people can sometimes leave negative comments or misunderstand things, which can turn into arguments online.

Overall, conversational social media platforms are really useful for connecting with people and building communities online. They allow businesses and individuals to interact in real time and have actual conversations instead of just posting content. For someone like me who is studying marketing, understanding how the platforms work is important because they can be great tools for networking, sharing ideas , and building relationships with an audience.
