Finals Week: Wrapping It Up

This semester changed the way I look at social media and online marketing. Before this class, I mostly thought of social media as entertainment, but now I see how businesses use it to advertise, attract customers, and increase profits. I learned that having a strong online presence can really impact how successful a business becomes.

Throughout the semester, I noticed that businesses that post consistently and interact with customers tend to do much better online. Ads, promotions, reels, and engaging posts help businesses reach more people and keep customers interested. I also learned how important it is for businesses to understand their target audience and choose the right platforms to market on.

One thing I found interesting while researching businesses was seeing the difference between active and inactive social media pages. Successful businesses kept their pages updated, replied to comments, and used online tools like Canva to make professional-looking posts. Less successful businesses often had outdated pages or inconsistent posting.

I also feel more confident now in understanding how social media can help grow a business. This class helped me learn more about advertising, branding, customer engagement, and online marketing strategies that businesses use every day.

One suggestion I would have for future classes would be spending a little more time talking about social media ads and how businesses track profits and engagement online. Overall, I enjoyed the class and feel like I learned skills that will actually be useful in the future.
